How do I know if my skin reacts to a product?
Everyone’s skin is different and unique – reactions to products are rare, but can happen.

There are a number of ways that your skin might show signs of a reaction:
Irritation – if any burning, stinging, itching or redness occurs, stop using the product straight away.
Swelling – this is definitely a reaction – whether to a specific ingredient or just the product in general. Stop using it straight away and consult your dermatologist or GP if it continues.
Change in skin texture – whether that’s bumps on the skin or excess oil or dryness, this isn’t necessarily a reaction, but more that it’s the wrong product for your skin type. Try something more suited to your skin type instead.
If you’re unsure whether a product is suitable for you, check out this post on ingredients that are safe for teen skin and this post for ingredients to avoid.
If you think you might have sensitive skin or be sensitive to a product, always do a patch test before applying to your face. Apply a pea-sized amount to your neck, below your ear. If you don’t have a reaction within 12 hours, you can go ahead and use it.
Our team is always to help our customers navigate through skin reactions – if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to talk to us.
