What is charcoal powder?

Charcoal powder, or activated charcoal, is dehydrated wood that is burned to a powder. It helps to unclog pores and remove any impurities from the skin. It also has anti-bacterial properties, which can be helpful to prevent breakouts.
You might find it in skincare like masks and scrubs.
When is the right age to use it?
Charcoal powder is safe for teens with oily and combination skin to use – it can help with lots of common teen skin complaints.
Why should teens use it?
It’s effective at drawing out dirt, bacteria and other pollutants from the pores, helping to purify your skin.
It also helps to control sebum (the natural oils in your skin) to reduce shine and prevent clogged pores that can cause breakouts.
